Spring Creek Stewards

Spring Creek Forest Preserves are undergoing the most ambitious ecological restoration project ever undertaken in Cook County.

What’s so special about Spring Creek?

It’s one of only two preserves large enough to sustain populations of rare animals, grassland birds and native plants.

With 3,910 acres, it offers an especially rich mosaic of habitats, with large tracts of prairies, oak savannas, woodlands, shrublands, fens, sedge meadows and other wetlands.

Restoring Nature’s Balance

Spring Creek is a tranquil respite from the hustle of everyday, modern life.  Here, we seek to restore the balance of nature in the preserves and in our lives.

We hope you will join us

Together, we can restore and protect this local treasure filled with natural wonders.
